The posters constitute interesting material in-and-of themselves, as public expressions of private attachment, and as unanswered pleas to a local community. Technically, I was interested in reproducing the reproduction—in remaking the disposable xerox prints of the original lost-cat fliers out of graphite on canvas. With an understanding of the probable loss of the cats depicted to a local coyote population, the posters take on a tragic dimension. Each image is 24×30″, graphite on canvas.
